History
Marie
Curie Eastside Elementary School was built in 1975 as an
open-concept school. The original mascot was the Polish
Falcon in honor of the school's namesake, Marie Curie.
During the summer of 1996, the building was completely
renovated, replacing the open-concept structure with more
traditional classrooms. At that time, the students chose a
new school mascot, the Marie Curie Wildcat. In 2007, our
school became the district's
second magnet school - Marie Curie Institute of Engineering
& Communications.
