i. The Technology Club does not have the right to touch in any way, shape or form any server of the Greater Amsterdam School District with out prior authorization from the Advisor and/or the Central Administration Building.
i. The Technology Club cannot troubleshoot and repair the network in full without permission from the Advisor and/or the Central Administration Building.
i. The President is the administrator of the Technology Club. The President shall answer to the Advisor first, and the Information Technology Department of the Central Administration Building second. However, the order may be changed depending on action taken by the Advisor and/or the Central Administration Building. ii. The President appointed shall serve no more then one term. A single term is the length of one school year. iii. The President shall have the power to create, appoint people to, or remove positions in the Technology Club as so chooses. Any position in existence or created may and should be given powers to administer their position as may required by the President. iv. The President has the power to choose the next President in any form the President so chooses. 1. The President must consider the choices for the new President from the rank of Officer or higher first. 2. The President may be chosen from any rank. v. At no time will any rank lower then the President will have the power to override the President. vi. All powers granted to the Technology Club and not delegated by the President to a position in existence or created new are reserved to the President.
i. The Vice President is the administrator in charge of that division assigned. The Vice President answers to the President first. The President also holds the right to override any decision made by the Vice President ii. The Vice President may create, appoint people to, or remove position in their division only as so chooses. iii. Any power delegated to a division by the President and are not delegated by the Vice President of that division are reserved to the Vice President. iv. The Vice President at no time will have the power to override the President.
i. This position is not required to be filled. ii. This position is appointed by the President of the Technology Club. iii. The Senior Officer answers to the President first. iv. The intension of the position of Senior Officer is to report the status of the Technology Club to the President and to make sure the Technology Club is running the best it can be. If the President so chooses for this to be the mission of the Senior Officer, the Senior Officer has all powers necessary to make sure this happens, except for overriding the President. v. The Senior Officer will accomplish any job the President assigns to, and with that, is delegated all powers required to accomplish the mission assigned. vi. Powers delegated are removed as missions are completed. vii. Powers can be delegated permanently or temporarily by the President as the President so chooses. viii. The Senior Officer at no time has the power to override the President.
i. An Officer is the administrator of what is assigned to them by the Vice President of their division. ii. An Officer may choose the members on his team and position contained with in his jurisdiction. iii. An Officer will answer to the Vice President first. iv. An Officer at no time will have the power to override the President.
i. A Level 2 Technician is the administrator of what is assigned to them by the Officer and/or Vice President of their Division. ii. The Level 2 Technician of the Technology Club answers to their Officer first. iii. A Level 2 Technician at no time will have the power to override the President.
i. This is the entrance level. ii. This level shall have no powers delegated to it unless the mission assigned by a Level 2 Technician or higher requires it. iii. A level 1 Technician at no time will have the power to override the President.
i. Any position in the Technology Club shall be given the power necessary to administer their position. ii. In no position lower then the President shall have the power to override the President.
i. The Board of Technology, with permission of the President, has the right to vote on any subject or topic brought to it. A majority vote will pass or fail a topic in question. 1. If in any case, the Board of Technology is tied, the deciding vote will go to the Senior Officer. a. If the Senior Officer is already on the Board, then the next senior Officer in the Technology Club. i. If the Officers are on the Board, then the most senior Level 2 Technician will have the deciding vote.
i. The Board of Technology holds the right to vote on all topics in opinion. Their vote is to show the President the opinion of others. The President is not forced or held in any way to act on their vote unless the President so chooses.
i. The Board of Technology has the right to vote on limiting the Presidents power for a temporary period of time (max is one term) if the following conditions are met: 1. The Board of Technology can prove to the Advisor that the President is not acting in the best interests of the Technology Club (The President has the right to defend himself). 2. The Board of Technology passes the limitation with a vote of 75% or higher.
i. The Board of Technology has the power to impeach the President so long as the Rules of Impeachment are followed (see Article 5).
i. The President is tried in front of the Board of Technology with the Advisor present. What is on trial is if the President has been acting in the best interest of the Technology Club. The guilty or not guilty verdict is determined by the vote of if the President is to be impeached. ii. Upon the time of voting, the Board of Technology must vote unanimously to impeach the President. If the vote is not unanimous, the President is not impeached. iii. The Advisor, at any time, has the power to stop the Impeachment or not to allow voting. If in any case that this should happen, the President is not impeached. i. All members after joining but before admittance shall go through a review of any kind chosen by the President and/or the Board of Technology. ii. Before admittance, the member in question shall pass: any exam with an 80% or above; any review; any interview; and/or any other review with passing remarks.
i. Any member shall have the opportunity to take a Level 2 Technician exam or go through any review chosen by the President and/or Board of Technology. If an exam is chosen, the member in question must receive an 85% or higher to be chosen. ii. Appointments to the position shall be given as they are open and are given first to the members who have completed the review required with the highest marks.
i. Any member shall have the opportunity to take an Officer exam or go through any review chosen by the President and/or Board of Technology. If an exam is chosen, the member in question must receive a 90% or higher to be chosen. ii. Appointments to the position shall be given as they are open and are given first to the members who have completed the review required with the highest marks.
i. Majority vote of the Board of Technology.
i. Majority vote. 1. President’s authorization required. ii. 80% passing vote or greater. 1. President’s authorization not required.
i. When the amendment was first started to be created. ii. When the creation of the amendment was completed. iii. When the amendment was approved. iv. When the amendment is to begin taking effect.
