Z Drive, Cannot connect (Cannot access)

Home Page          Z Drive

If you are having problems connecting to the Z Drive, this could
be caused by one of a few issues. To do basic troubleshooting,
follow the following steps.

  1. Shut down the computer completely.

  2. Wait about 15 seconds, then turn the computer back on.

  3. Log back on and wait until log in is complete and everything
    is loaded.

  4. Retry to open your Z Drive.

If all has failed, email the Tech Club at ahstechclub@gasd.org
(hyperlink to http://webmail.gasd.org) or
Contact Mrs. JoMarie DiTata and state that you are having problems with
connecting to the Z Drive and check to see if the Z Drive is operational.

Notes about the Z Drive: The IT Department is currently changing over the
buildings to a new domain called "GASD". From January of 2006 to June of
2006, the buildings will be converted. During that time, the old domains,
which name of the domain is the name of the building, may experience
some difficulties or problems. This may even cause you to not see or even
lock you out of your Z Drive folder. The buildings are being worked on, and
all work should be completed by September of 2006. Until then, there is not
much anyone can do about it. This should not cause any problems, but it is
a possibility, especially when usernames are being added with your security
settings so you can access your folder.
If you access is being denied, if you are logged in using your normal domain,
try logging on using the "GASD" domain. You password should be the
password you use for your e-mail. If that does not work, try the password
you use to normally log on.
