Homework

   Homework is a critical component of our curriculum.  Because our time is limited during the day, and for your child to have added practice at concepts, it becomes necessary to assign weekly homework.  Some of the homework will require parental assistance.  In order for your child to succeed, it is imperative that your child receive help at home. 

   Our homework usually consists of:

            - 3x each for spelling

             - write the HF words in sentences

             - 2 Reading practice pages

             - 2 comprehension pages

             - 3-4 Math pages

    Homework is distributed on Mondays and is due back on the following Monday.  When your child hands in his/her homework on time, or early, they will receive a "homework sticker".  These "homework stickers" are accumulated on a chart and your child will get to pick from the prize box every 5 stickers.

     Homework that is handed in late does not receive a sticker and your child will lose recess until the homework is handed in.
